The Science Of Mindfulness : A Boon To Mental Health !



A good "mental health" is not a goal to be achieved , it is that path,which when chosen makes all other goals easy.
              
Although often ignored,mental health requires as much attention as our physical health, but due to unawareness of the ill effects of mental sickness, people usually face many problems such as 
Anxiety
Mood swing
Eating disorders
Personality disorders etc.

Let's start our new year with a new journey towards a healthy mind free from all mental health disorders !

here are some tips for attaining a healthy mind ....


1. Keep your surrounding neat and tidy

Positive attracts positive - a clean and positive surrounding attracts positive thoughts, make sure your surroundings radiates positivity.
 
Spend time in your home.

Do your hobbies ,that makes you happy.
Actions that give you happiness will increase the positive aura in your home and make it a happy place.

also, Choose wisely - The color of walls ,bedsheet, cushions ,table cloth etc .avoid dark shades ,for example-red attracts anger! Avoid such dark shades .



2. Stop appeasing everyone !

  You can't please everyone ,but you can atleast please yourself!
many of us are very much concerned about our image .
Remember,
IMAGE is what people think how you are
but CHARACTER is what actually you are !
the thing that matters the most is what you think of yourself ..and how you are,not what others think about you.because at the end of the day,you have to give all the answers to nobody but yourself !

3. Do what gives you a high !



Don't get so much engaged in your responsibilities that you don't get time for yourself, find out the things that makes you happy and every day, have some time for those things you enjoy .

Remember , if you enjoy doing something,that is never a waste of time. 

4. Discover your passion

There is always a thing in your life for which you can die for .




we all are good at something,we just need to find that thing out and start working on that !


5. Spend money on the stuff that makes you feel good

soft toys,flowers,books,ANYTHING that you love ,if money can buy it,go for it.


6. Help someone in need.
 


The key ingredient to happiness is giving happiness.

7. Stop being negative about yourself !

8. Spend some hours to introspect !
 

Solitude helps you in looking into your inner self ,the beauty that you are unaware of ,your potential and everything that lies within you .

9. Collect the happy moments !
Make a jar of your memories.
everyday, put one best thing about that day into the jar .
the thing that made you smile,it's like collecting your smiles,at the end of the year when you'll look into that jar full of memories,it would definately give you a special feeling . :)



10. Say "NO" to negetive people





Choose wisely, always stay surrounded by the people who lift up your state of mind .


11. Be your own BFF
Who can know yourself better than you !
there will be a time in your life when no one would understand you ,but if you truly are your own best friend ,you would never need anyone to understand you ! 

The true victory is when you will realize that you don't need anyone to make you happy,you are enough for yourself .
understand yourself,talk to yourself,find the solutions of your own problems,even if you go wrong,you would learn something from your mistakes.giving other's the previllage
to take decisions in your life can only make you weak .

12. Find a therapist for yourself !

Be it your mother,father,sibling or best friend
also, Some people radiates positivity, their mere presence makes us feel good , surround yourself with such people.



13. Learn to say no!
Don't give excuses, don't lie, just a simple NO,without any explaination !

14. Don't complain,accept the things as they are, or change them

Complain less,if you always keep complaining,you will not be able to see beauty in anything ,acceptance is a  bliss .

15. Don't ignore emotional pain


16. Don't compare yourself with other's.
 
 We all have some unique qualities,no one is born perfect,in our journey,we all try to get closer to perfection in our own ways.
appreciate yourself, your journey is totally different, things you have gone through are different.
EVERYTHING is different,comparing yourself with someone else is totally senseless .




BUT,the comparision which is actually required is comparision with your own previous version .





17. Start Everyday With a Smile

Be thankful,you have got another day to live your life,it's a gift ,so smile :)
  
18. What about inspiring sticky notes ??

Fill your room walls with inspirational and motivating sticky notes .

19. Share your feelings with friends .
Whatever you are feeling,good or bad,always share it with someone.don't suffocate yourself by keeping everything inside your mind .


20. Celebrate the small achievements

Every day is an achievement,celebrate it with great joy !
